Editors-in-Chief
Kathy Dasovich
Kathy is in her second year of a dual MBA/MPP degree, focusing on marketing and business ventures in emerging economies. She was an Assistant Editor for the 2008-09 Journal, and she previously worked as a proofreader/marketing assistant for a medium-sized engineering firm in Washington state. She also served as the co-Editor-in-Chief for the Washington State Department of Revenue’s quarterly newsletter, The Summons. Before coming to Michigan, Kathy spent two years living in urban Mali (West Africa) as a business development advisor with the US Peace Corps.
Egan Reich
Egan is a second-year MPP candidate at the Ford School with a focus on international cultural policy. This summer, he worked at the EastWest Institute, an international affairs think-tank in Brussels. He is the founder of Hooverville Productions, an arts not-for-profit. Egan is a playwright and screenwriter, and his work has been produced in Chicago, NYC, Schenectady, and Edinburgh, Scotland. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2002 with a degree in Theatre and Creative Writing for the Media.
Managing Editor - Max Bronstein
Max Bronstein is an MPP candidate with a focus in Science, Technology, and Public Policy. Before coming to Michigan, he served at the US National Science Foundation as a policy analyst and adviser to the Deputy Director. Max has published several op-ed articles on topics that relate to the intersection of science and policy like climate change and science education. He holds a bachelors degree in biology from Ithaca College and plans to pursue a PhD next fall.
Submissions Editor - Jacquelyn Bradford
Jacquelyn served as a Small Enterprise Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali from 2005-2007. She has completed summer internships with the US Department of State, Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Eckerd Youth Alternatives. Her academic interests include US and international human rights policy and international development. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Economics from the Florida State University and is an MPP candidate.

Eliza Pollack
Eliza graduated from the University of Virginia in 2007 with degrees in History and Religious Studies with concentrations in Judaism and Islam. After college, she served as the Morningstar Fellow at PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values, a public policy/education organization that teaches high school students about the role of Jewish values in American public life. At the Ford School, Eliza studies domestic policy with an emphasis on politics and civic engagement, and is interested in increasing youth participation in the political process.
Phillip Rogers
Philip Rogers received his BA in economics from the University of Michigan, graduating with highest honors in 2006. His honors research thesis won the department’s Parker Prize for the most outstanding written contribution by a graduate or undergraduate in the area of labor economics. He is currently pursuing an MPP and MA in Chinese area studies with emphases in the areas of international relations and international security.
Business Manager - Dietrich Bouma
Dietrich is a 3rd year dual-degree student at the School of Public Policy and the School of Natural Resources & Environment. He received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in International Development from Calvin College, where he worked as a regular News and Perspectives writer for the college newspaper. Prior to graduate school, Dietrich worked at the City of Ann Arbor, the Huron River Watershed Council, and as a member of the City of Grand Rapids' Mayors Environmental Advisory Board. While in graduate school, he has been focused on international community-based conservation efforts, especially community forestry in Nepal, and how they are being impacted by climate change. Dietrich also has a growing interest in international human rights.
